Phil Mickelson and Justin Thomas contradict on the Tour’s finances and PIP Fund

Moreover, he asked them to increase the purse on Korn Ferry Tour. However, as Phil came across this tweet, he wrote, “If I may, the Tour makes more than that by using the top players’ media rights for their own YouTube and social channels and getting paid on views (players have no rights to use them). They also are holding estimated at $10-20 billion in digital moments that the top players created.”

But Peter wasn’t clear, so he replied, Phil, this is my point. He said they make $10 to $20 billion in revenue and only pay $40 to $50 million a year to 10 players as compensation. Furthermore, he concluded by saying players deserve proper compensation.

Furthermore, Phil clarified he agrees with his point and he was just adding a few more points. “I agree with you and wasn’t disagreeing with your previous post. I was just putting out some additional (disappointing) facts as well.”

Even Justin Thomas had his say as he replied to Peter’s tweet. “The purses are going up, actually. It’s something myself and many others vouch for on the PAC. I hear you, but there’s always a lot more that goes into it than I (and others) know. Not to mention, those tour players can and will be playing their way on tour.”

So in this way, Phil Mickelson expressed his disappointment while JT took a safe road by not talking for or against anything.
