Phil Mickelson is considered one of the best golfers of all time. With more than 25 years of experience in professional golfing, he is one of the few veteran golfers who are still actively playing in regular tournaments. And being such an experienced golfer, he had once compared an NBA prodigy to a golf legend.
“Chris is gonna end up winning the competition,” the 6-time major champion said after watching Kris London’s swing. London is known for creating videos doing basketball challenges and vlogs on YouTube.

London was one of the four to compete in the House of Highlight’s competition for $100,000 in a closest-to-the-pin challenge. Notably, the competition was set as a lead to the 2020 Capital One’s The Match.
Phil Mickelson compared Kris London to the swing master of golf
“He’s got a tall frame, so already he has a nice arc,” Mickelson commented about Kris London. “But what he does is he has a very shallow plane like Ben Hogan did, and that allows for him to have more control.”
On June 23, 1946, Ben teamed with Jimmy Demaret to win the Inverness Four-Ball Tournament at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, earning $1,625.00 each. Ben Hogan was considered one of the greatest golfers ever to play in the history of golf. After turning professional in 1932, the golfer couldn’t find success until 1940.
But, by the time he retired from professional golf, he had 64 championship titles and 9 majors to his name. He is one of the only five golfers to win all majors at least once throughout their career.
Moreover, he was considered the master of swings. Years later, his swings are still being interpreted by golf instructors to teach others how to do them perfectly. Notably, Hogan has shared lessons on mastering one’s swing skills in his bestselling golf instruction book, ‘Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf.’

Mickelson, incidentally, compared Kris London’s swing to Hogan’s. In fact, Lefty was so impressed with the NBA prodigy that he even predicted London would win in the challenge.
