Phil Mickelson and his move to LIV golf isn’t unheard of by anyone involved in the world of golf. The golf legend explained his defection by stating that it was with the intention of growing the game of golf at the end of the day.

However, what interests his followers is the time when the golf legend praised Jordan Spieth for his loyalty to the PGA Tour. Ironical, as it is, let’s explore why this appreciation was made.
When Phil Mickelson praised another player for his loyalty to the PGA Tour
Mickelson was once in news for when he praised Jordan Spieth. Spieth is a three-time major winner and the former world number one according to the Official World Golf rankings.

Phil Mickelson, who was a compatriot of Spieth, acknowledged him for his loyalty towards the PGA Tour. Mickelson had said, “I think it’s incredibly loyal of him to do that. He’s half my age or less than half my age; he probably doesn’t need time to get adjusted to the time change. And he’s playing competitively the week before and his game should be sharp.”

Sportsmanship is highly recognized and appreciated in the world of golf, and so was the camaraderie displayed by Phil Mickelson. However, what is ironic is, that the same pro golfer who once appreciated another golfer for their loyalty to the PGA Tour, later, left it. Call it a poise of choice or a side effect of change in time, either way, Mickelson is now a part of LIV Golf officially.

How is Mickelson dealing with the shift to LIV Golf?
Ever since Mickelson made his shift from the PGA Tour to the Saudi-backed LIV GOlf League, he has been in the news as people are interested in tracking the progress of the pro golfer’s shift.
Mickelson has tried to rename his move as a step towards bettering the game of golf. However, the shift has not been all too easy. The pro-golfer also popularly known as ‘Lefty’ by his fans, once said, “It’s probably been harder than I thought. But I am motivated. I had a great three weeks. I’m excited about our upcoming five events. I worked really hard these last three weeks to work on my game. I think I’m ready to compete again.’’
