Bryson DeChambeau has been under constant scrutiny from Brandel Chamblee. Since the team was announced, Chamblee first discussed the challenge of pairing DeChambeau and then how Bryson will be “a captain’s nightmare.” But now, as the LIV golfer stepped onto the course, he had a strong reply for the golf critic.

NUCLR GOLF shared a post on X, where Bryson has been seen around the fans shouting his name for his sign. Unexpectedly, in that video, DeChambeau turns back and says, “Did Brandel say something yesterday? I don’t know what it was.” He defied the notion of being a tough pair or a YouTube golfer with his extreme fan base and love, even before the Ryder Cup started.

Since the beginning of the Ryder Cup talks, Chamblee has been pointing out issues with Bryson DeChambeau. At first, he said, “I think Bryson DeChambeau will be hard to pair with…” He mentioned this during the Favorite Chamblee podcast. However, the spree then began as he shifted his stance from a formidable pairing to his unserious behavior towards the Ryder Cup. During a short clip with Brendan Porath, Chamblee shared his negatives about DeChambeau.

Chamblee said, “That is one of the reasons why I think he’s gonna be such a difficult person to get paired with… I think he would be a captain’s nightmare.” Chamblee made his message clear to have a similar intent as the other golfers on the team. But apart from just staying quiet to the snub, Bryson DeChambeau had a great way to reply. Well, that’s nothing new for Chamblee, as Phil Mickelson did the same in the past.

After Mickelson and Chamblee had an ugly spat, the duo blocked each other on social media. But Mickelson still had some final words to address. After the incident, he wrote, “He can rip apart me and countless others, but as soon as someone shows his ignorance, he can’t handle it. He’s softer now than he was as a player.” In fact, Mickelson was ready to have a debate with Chamblee, but he asked that it be scheduled on a different network. Since then, there have been no updates on their feud. But for Chamblee, this was the second time in September, as before DeChambeau, another golf pro hit back at the golf commentator.

Similar to Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau, Chamblee made some harsh comments about Ian Poulter during the 2017 PGA Championship. The golf commentators questioned his effort to win the game, as he finished T2. But with the comments, Ian Poulter replied back to him, writing on X. Poulter wrote, “Sorry to disappoint, I can only dream of being as good as Brandel… It’s clearly easy sitting on your ar*e… thanks for the support.”

Well, soon after that, the golfer was blocked from the list of Chamblee’s followers. But he still carries the grudges, as Chamblee shared his thoughts for players. After the comments on Bryson were out, Poulter was asked about his views on the commentator as part of the Instagram Q&A session. Sharing for that, he said, “kids read my posts, so I have to keep it clean. I’d love to give you my full thoughts about him. He blocked me over 10 years ago. He can’t handle anyone coming back at his comments. It’s actually a waste of my time. But I can only apologize to all golf fans that they even have to listen to his drivel.”

Poulter, just like other professionals, backed his fellow professional DeChambeau. But that is not required anymore as Bryson has made it clear with his statement. Will Bryson DeChambeau be the next golfer on the blocked list of Chamblee? What do you think about it? Share with us in the comments below.
