Many players such as Sergio Garcia and Ian Poulter have withdrawn their membership from the European Tour as well after losing the legal battle against the Tour. After winning the battle, the European Tour could fine their golfers £100,000 for each LIV event they competed in.

On the other hand, LIV Golf has invested $300 million in the Asian Tour. The investment from the Saudi league will cover prize money and playing opportunities in the international series for the upcoming 10 years. The LIV Golf’s investment move was a result of its aim to expand its global outreach.
