The PGA Tour’s unofficial fifth major event reached its conclusion. With the largest prize purse of the season worth $25 million, the event concluded with a lot of record-breaking moments, especially with the event finding its first two-time winner. Sponsored by some of the big names like Morgan Stanley, Optum, and Comcast Business, the event contributes positively to society through its nonprofit endeavors. One such program is the “Eagle for Impact program” launched by Morgan Stanley in 2017. This initiative holds significant importance for the event as it helped raise a huge sum for a cause larger than life.
In the opening round, there were 26 eagles, but this number notably surged to 42 in the second round. As the third round concluded, there were already 50 eagles, and by the event’s conclusion, reaching a total of 58 eagles. As per the clause of the 50th edition celebration, Stanley pledged to donate extra $50,000 if the number of eagles surpassed 50, and it did! Hence, the Morgan Stanley donated $290,000 for the 58 eagles, and an additional $50,000, making the sum worth $340,000.

Eagles for Impact program is a huge part of THE PLAYERS every year. The program is based on the eagles scored by professionals during the event. For every eagle made during the event, Morgan Stanley commits to donating $5000 to the First Tee organization. The First Tee is a youth development organization with a 25-year legacy of utilizing golf to impart life lessons.
The main goal of this program is predominantly focused on empowering children through the golf. Stanley expressed on morganstanley.com that “when you give the next generation of leaders the right tools, you help to create diverse game changers.” The proud partner of THE PLAYERS is dedicated to preparing the next generation for a better future with all resources at their disposal.

However, things were a little bit different when Stanley came back with the program in 2022. Until this year, a total of 307 eagles were accounted for and a sum of nearly $2 million had been donated.
