The overall fortune of Rory to date is £87million, and he is spending that money in style. He earns approximately $40-50 million annually by winning tournaments, including endorsements. Surprisingly, in 2019, he made a whopping $15 million on Tour Championship and FedEx Cup. Today we will peek inside his luxurious mansion and learn about his lifestyle.
The shocking luxurious lifestyle of Rory McIlroy
The pro golfer owns a relaxing yet luxurious mansion worth £8.5million, with Michael Jordan and Serena Williams as his neighbors. He spends quality time with his lovely wife, Erica Stoll.
Rory tied the knot with Stoll in 2017 and has been living with his wife in a 12,800 square feet mansion ever since. The mansion is situated in the Bear’s Club, a golf development founded in 1999 by the fantastic golfer, Jack Nicklaus. Rory’s mansion has seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms, formerly owned by Ernie Els. The estate also has a swimming pool, a recording studio, a games room, and a home cinema. And if the golfer is in the mood to work out, he has his tennis court in the mansion.

If it rains in the Sunshine State, where his mansion is located, he can work out in his indoor gym full of all the gym equipment. The estate also has a massive balcony at the back, from where one can embrace the view of a tranquil swimming pool.
If we talk about his childhood home, it is significantly different from his current mansion. He grew up in Northern Ireland, in a four-bedroom house with his parents, Gerry and Rosie.
Rory is living life king size.
We often see Rory sitting in The Bear’s Club, a golfer community founded by golf legend, Jack Nicklaus. The community is exclusive and is the home to some of the biggest sports stars of all time, such as Michael Jordan, and tennis stars, Serena Williams and Venus Williams. Rory’s mansion also has a home cinema for entertainment purposes.

Talking about his childhood, he lived a luxurious life then too. His childhood house had enough space to have a trampoline in the garden, but it was stuck behind the putting greens, set for the practice sessions. His father has transformed the studio of his old house so that he can analyze and study his golf swings. The studio also has two TVs wired up to the system to showcase all his swings properly. The exciting part is that the Holywood Golf was just a 20-minute walk from his house.

Is McIlroy crazy about cars?
It is not just a mansion where he is spending his hard-earned money; he has a love for watches and cars too. His garage is full of exclusive vehicles, including Ferrari F12, which he bought from his fellow golfer, Ian Poulter. He once posted a picture of the car on social media. Rory accepted that maintaining it is complicated and expensive, but he also ensured that he took proper care of it.
He wrote the caption with the picture: “When you see your old love in the car park… and miss it…”
He also added that he enjoyed F12 and was fascinated by the experience with its Matte Grigio Silverstone paint. He painted the rims too and added a Matte Black roof, whereas the interiors were in Grey and burgundy.
