The PGA Tour and the LIV Golf Invitational Series have been at odds since the beginning. With the Saudi-backed league bringing along a completely new experience, there have been varied views on the same. While some people hate the idea of a new series, some are excited about the new location.
Unsurprisingly, there have been some strong reactions this time around. While players have been against the idea, some fans have continued to support the idea of a new league. Some end up criticizing the PGA Tour and a Saudi-backed league led by Greg Norman.
This couldn’t be more wrong. I’m a veteran. I certainly wasn’t a star player and I have access to TPCs, lifetime membership and a tremendous pension fund. What are the supposed to do, give me the keys to the castle? https://t.co/3Kdb1ZuKcz

In a tweet, veteran Brandel Chamblee stood up for the PGA Tour himself, while also highlighting what all the tour does.
PGA Tour player defends the tour on Twitter
According to a user on social media, the PGA Tour does not have a good record while treating their own players. They further added that this holds true for the veterans, who are not treated honorably by the PGA Tour.
Chamblee – who is a veteran himself – was unhappy with the response. The 59-year wanted everyone to know that while he was no star player, he has been treated well. This includes access to TPCs, a life membership, and his pension fund.
Visibly frustrated, Chamblee asked if the PGA Tour should give away keys to the castle instead.
Having said that, other fans were also questioning the claim. Some questioned the user’s claim like Chamblee, asking how he even reached that conclusion. There was some slight resistance, where people wondered why players earning in millions needed to get a pension. However, it only proved Chamblee’s point.

Most PGA Tour players enjoy a great life, even during retirement. While everyone might not be famous, they do end up earning a lot with the league.

Has Chamblee supported the tour before?
Furthermore, Chamblee has previously spoken about the new series and money related to it. The veteran explained that people can accept they are choosing the LIV Golf Invitational Series for money, and not argue about it being good.
That being said, Norman and the investors seem determined to kickstart the series. While many considered the concept to be buried, Norman seems convinced about launching. At the end of the day, everyone has varied opinions about the new changes being introduced.
