The American professional golfer recently took to Twitter to reveal the reason for his absence. He posted pictures of his newborn daughter and his family as the new father shared the joyous news with the community. “Happy to say it’s been the best week of my life. We welcomed Emilia Elizabeth English on 7/10/23 at 12:37 pm,” he wrote while sharing the snippets. The family, including his wife and pet dog, can be seen over the moon at the new addition.

Clarifying his wife’s condition after the delivery, the former Georgia player mentioned in the post that both the mom and the baby are doing great. One can only guess the excitement that the golfer is experiencing after welcoming such a piece of news, especially after a disappointing tournament in Connecticut.

English had refrained from taking part in any golfing events after the Travelers Championship in June. The event saw many of the world’s best golfers duke it out. The pro golf player could only put up what can be called a disappointing performance at TPC River Highlands. Although the course boasted a par-70 layout, the easy course saw many players record low scores. The four-time PGA Tour winner ended his run at the competition with a T60 finish and a take-home of $44,600.
