The Sentry Tournament of Champions had a nice, hilarious twist on Thursday. While PGA pro-Spieth was taking a shot, he heard two spectators betting on the par-4 12th. However, the exact amount of the bet was unclear, but their intentions were quite clear. And the reason Spieth could listen to them as there was a perfectly placed hot mic at PGA Tour Live.

If you thought that the former number one golfer wanted to call 1-800-GAMLBER or deny them from betting, then you are wrong. Spieth appreciated the move and chimed in hilariously. It would not have happened if they were not too loud while the pro golfer was trying to put it out for the par. Chiming in, he giggled and said, “I appreciate the exchange of money. I’d be doing the same thing, but I can just hear you gambling right off the back of the green.”

They apologized to him, and he said it was okay and all was good. Spieth then smiled, gave a fist bump to the fans, and walked away. 

Thus fans were able to witness a hilarious moment. And now fans know those hot mics will never fail to give them further funny moments in the sport of golf. Considering how cool Spieth was about the whole situation made it even more fun.
