The spat between the PGA tour and LIV golf is getting fiercer and has disturbed the golf world. In an interview, the CJ Cup winner Rory McIlroy expressed his concerns about the future of Golf. After his CJ Cup win, he described how he felt after PGA members like Sergio Garcia joined LIV.

According to McIlroy, things will go south for the future of Golf if the right actions are not taken immediately. The rivalry will become an obstacle in the development of the sport, and no player will be able to grow.

What did Rory McIlroy suggest?

The official Twitter handle of HANDICAP 54 quoted the lines from the interview of McIlroy, where he suggested the right course for the settlement of the rivalry. The current number 1 golfer indicated it was high time to settle the feud. He said“I think there is no more time to lose; LIV and PGA will have to find an agreement and speak for the good of our sport.”

He said, “Golf is a small world, not like soccer. Therefore, all the more reason we must stand together and find a way to ensure that there are no breakups in the future.” The rivalry between LIV and the PGA has been detrimental to the sport, and it will be the case, unless there is an agreement, according to McIlroy. LIV defectors have been barred from playing at majors, and the PGA is losing many skilled players as a result.

McIlroy also mentioned that he wasn’t sure when things would improve, but it needed to be done soon.

Is McIlroy ready for the upcoming events?

The PGA member still does not know what the future holds for him and the sport in general. However, he believes that he needs to rest and reset himself to return as a strong contender in future tournaments.
