Pebble Beach is organizing one of the greatest major in the history of women’s golf, the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open. Top-tier players from all across the globe are participating in the event. Even twelve past champions were lured to the majestic tournament and are playing alongside the top 20 chosen ones. Among the star studded lineup, LPGA Tour legend, Michelle Wie West, who declared her retirement because of health-related issues, couldn’t resist the opportunity to play in the most iconic course, where Tom Watson once swung his golf club.

Who is Michelle Wie West paired with in the 1st round of the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open?

This week at Pebble Beach, the star player is having her final LPGA Tour event. Consequently, fans are impatiently waiting to witness her play for the very last time at the most incredible course.

In this ending expedition of Michelle, two more players join her. Hence, the trio of three major champions pairs up to compete on the 1st day – Annika Sorenstam, the three-time U.S. Women’s Open title winner, Michelle Wie West, the 2014 winner of U.S. Women’s Open at Pinehurst, and Gee Chun, the 2015 winner of U.S. Women’s Open champion at Lancaster Country Club.

Wie West’s tee time in the 1st round of the match is scheduled at 8:58 PM in the evening. People can stream the match live on NBC and USA Network. The prize money for the final winner is around a handsome amount of $2 million.

What awaits in the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open

The event at Pebble Beach started on the 6th of July and will continue till the 9th. The championship round will begin on Sunday and there will be four rounds with 18 holes. On Thursday and Friday, 156 female players will tee it off, and ahead of the week that will be narrowed down to 60 scores and ties. The contestants comprise 28 amateurs,  89 exempt golfers, and 12 U.S. Women’s Open champions.
