The Ryder Cup 2020 concluded in a grand fashion. Team USA won the tournament on home soil and did it in a tremendous fashion. The celebrations were crazy and the hype still hasn’t died down. While the golf community is still hooked on the Ryder Cup news, it is essential to find out the lowest scorer of the tournament.

The Ryder Cup is played over three days. The first two days comprise team events, and the final day is filled with 12 singles matches between the U.S. and Europe. Now, at the end of Ryder Cup 2020, Team USA took home the champion’s honors with a dominant score of 19-9.

Lowest scoring players at Whistling Straits

There is no individual success at the Ryder Cup. Yes, there are the Sunday singles, but the event takes pride in the fact that all of it has to be a team effort. However, alternative conclusions can always be drawn after the end of the event, just to take a glance at who was the best-performing individual. 

CBS Reporter Kyle Porter did just that. He did the math and inferred who was the lowest scoring player at Whistling Straits over three days. The conclusion? Well, it was a no-brainer – the only undefeated golfer at Ryder Cup 2020 finished on top. 

However, it is incredible to note that Collin Morikawa finished just one stroke behind Dustin Johnson. Morikawa, being a Ryder Cup rookie, displayed no signs of nerves and absolutely made the most of the opportunity. 

Meanwhile, Dustin Johnson went 5-0-0 in Ryder Cup 2020 and became just the fifth player in history to achieve this feat in the biennial event. He topped the icing on the cake with a 1UP victory over Paul Casey on Sunday.

The U.S. dominates the list, but it is interesting to note that experienced Ryder Cup campaigners like Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood couldn’t contribute much. Maybe that’s where it went wrong for the Europeans.

When and where is the next Ryder Cup?

The Ryder Cup has undoubtedly been one of the best golf events of the year. The event took over the interests of the entire golf community and everyone was hooked to it for the last three days. The tournament’s conclusion has already created much intrigue as to when the next edition is:
