The captain of the European Ryder Cup team this year is
Luke Donald. He replaced Henrik Stenson when Stenson’s participation in LIV Golf cost him the distinction. Donald is making sure that the European squad will perform with the same magic that the Thomas Bjorn-led team did in France. McIlroy’s presence in the team is essential since he is one of the European players seeking to contribute to the team’s first Ryder Cup victory since 2018. But his plans before the Ryder Cup are wild. McIlroy will go to Mykonos for a friend’s bachelor party just one week before the Ryder Cup. Though this does not concern Donald, he did talk about it with McIlroy.

High expectations from McIlroy
