John Daly has been a fan’s favorite since the beginning of his career. The golf legend is known better for his style and his colorful pants on the field. However, another thing that differentiates Daly from other golfers is his free speech and fearless remarks about everything. When John Daly made an unexpected announcement
Daly has won more hearts than golf tournaments. However, that doesn’t imply that the golfer is short in his achievements on the field. Daly recently shot his 11th hole-in-one, and that too barefoot. But don’t just love him for his golfing style, but also his bold statements in his interviews and press conferences.

However, unlike other times, Daly once made a sad announcement on Twitter. It was during the Sanford International this year when the fans were going to catch the golfer live after a really long time. However, things didn’t go as planned, and Daly, unfortunately, had to withdraw from the event before the final round. And to explain what went on with him, Daly tweeted his take on the withdrawal, for his fans.

Daly wrote, “Saddens me that I had to WD from the (Sanford International) I know the fans knew I was in pain.” The golfer was already battling cancer for a very long time. And his recent incident with his knee this year was yet another setback for him. He, therefore, had to withdraw from the tournament. However, he still managed to give his fans a ray of hope in the same tweet. “Be back next year healed up! Luv & will miss y’all!”, he wrote.

When Daly made a hole-in-one barefoot
Despite all his underlying injuries and health issues, Daly once managed to hit an epic shot that resulted in a hole-in-one. The golfer was playing some really cool shots at the 2020 Bone Frog Open. It was a tournament especially played to benefit the fallen US Navy Seals. However, no one expected what was about to happen.

Daly was 15+ beers down, wearing an untucked shirt, and playing barefoot. And yet, the golfer managed to land a spectacular hole-in-one and shouted in celebration, “That makes 11 of them motherf***ers.”. Although he recently made another one in 2021 during a tournament, the one he made barefoot was incomparable.
