Thomas believes Tiger Woods will at least try for a comeback

Thomas disclosed that when home, he tried to go over and meet Woods 2-3 times a week. Generally, they did so on the pretext of letting their dogs spend some time together. And during these times, said JT, Woods is still the same ‘sarcastic a**hole’ that he always was, much chipper.

However, when asked whether a return to golf was a possibility for the 15-time major champion, JT was unsure. He said, “I don’t know. I mean, I know that he’s going to try. I just I don’t see, I don’t see him ever playing if he can’t play.” He explains by saying that unless Woods regains at least some of his old form again, he is not going to take on the circuit simply for the sake of it.

Speaking realistically and referring to his previous comeback, he adds, “There’s a pretty good chance that that might be the last chance he really ever had… but at the same time, I know how determined he is.”

Nevertheless, JT said that Woods is grateful to get to spend some quality time and be a father to his children. He said, “After the accident, as long as he can be a dad and be normal with that again, that’s the number one priority and, and the rest is a bonus.”
