En route to Singapore now, a bizarre visual from LIV Golf Adelaide from Kevin Na’s final round has surfaced on the internet. The 40-year-old and his team, Iron Heads GC, entered the Sunday round one stroke behind the leaders and had a chance to lift their first team trophy. Na started on the wrong foot as he made a double bogey on the tenth hole.

However, a quick recovery resulted in six birdies. But things turned haywire when he reached the par-5 9th hole, his last hole for the day. The 5-time PGA Tour winner hit his first shot on the left of the fairway and was stuck on it for several minutes. After three frustrating shots, Na’s ball was back on the fairway, but not without an f-bomb and a meltdown. 

After taking the first shot, the ball sat again in the uncut grass area. Na furiously blurted out, “Fu**king bull**it.” His caddie could be heard saying to take a deep breath, but that didn’t calm Na down. He then slapped his bag and pulled out another club. Over the next two shots, the 40-year-old repeated “Fu**king bull**it” and “absolute Fu**king bull**it” two more times. He eventually ended that hole with a double bogey.

Na’s unexpected meltdown has the golf world worried about his future with LIV Golf. Some fans even predicted that until next year, the 40-year-old may be dropped from the rebel league, leaving him nowhere to return to.

Netizens make worrying predictions about Kevin Na’s future

A user assumed that LIV Golf would not renew his contract after Na’s indifferent gameplay. Or it would re-sign him for a lower contract. In response to this tweet, Monday Q Info replied and showed the agreement. They wondered what would happen if he got relegated from LIV. They also predicted that he would join the Asian Tour or wait for a better contract from the yet-to-be-finalized Global Tour. The tweet said, “Agree. Wonder what happens to guys like Na if they get dropped. Does he play Asian Tour or just basically retire and hope a deal comes together and he can play on the new combined tour.”

Another viewer recounted when the PGA Tour players and PIF chairman, Yasir Al-Rumayyan, met in the Bahamas to discuss the future of golf and the merger deal. They related that players Na and their games were the reason PIF met with the PGA Tour, concluding that in the 2024 season, LIV Golf may not exist. They said, “This is one the reasons why PIF/PGA teams met in the Bahamas. I don’t see PIF shelling out another 1-2B on player extensions in 2025 especially giving after 3 years no ROI. LIV will end in 2024.”

Not everyone agreed that Na would be out of LIV Golf for the 2025 season. Why? Because he is the captain of Iron Heads GC, captains don’t get relegated and usually have their contracts renewed, per LIV’s policy.
