Golf is probably one of the rarest games that have the potential to make a deserving player extremely rich. Many athletes look at the sport as their way to immense success as golf is considered a “wealthy man’s sport”. This reminds us of the million-dollar record that Jordan Spieth had made at the 2015 PGA Championship.

Sportswriter Kyle Porter recently tweeted about the Jordan Spieth 12-Million-Dollar-plus record in the PGA Tour 2014-15. He also mentioned Scottie Scheffler, who is on his way to earning a noticeably bigger amount than the 28-year-old very soon.

“The most money ever earned in a season on the PGA Tour came in 2014-15 when Jordan Spieth earned just over $12 million. With a win on Sunday, Scottie Scheffler will have earned over $11.5 million … with three months still to go,” tweeted Porter.

Jordan Spieth’s Million-Dollar Record

At the early age of just 22, Spieth made the most money in PGA history. With PGA career earnings of over $31 million, he is the only player who earned $12 million in one season. Not only that, but he also received a FedEx prize of $10 million.

Other records by Jordan Spieth

Jordan Spieth also won the Australian Open twice, and the Hero World Challenge in 2014. After the 2015 PGA Championship Victory as well as the PGA Tour’s Player of the Year Record, Spieth was unstoppable.

After his 5 wins in 2015, Spieth won the Hyundai Tournament of Champions as well as the Dean & DeLuca Invitational in 2016.

He also recently won the 2021 Valero Texas Open, and in 2022, the 28-year-old golfer achieved victory at the RBC Heritage.

Spieth’s lifetime earnings on the course as of now are over $50 million. But it would not be a surprise to see Scottie Scheffler breaking all his records after Scottie’s Super-Sunday victory. World No. 1 Scottie will still have 3 months remaining to set new records after he sets one by winning on Sunday.
