While Tiger’s competitive return is delayed, there is still plenty of talent to watch out for at the Hero event. The world’s top-ranked golfers have an eye for silverware, with a total purse of $3.5 million on offer. Golfer, Scottie Scheffler, is certainly in the mood, with his recent Instagram post showing his diligent practice before the tournament begins.

Scottie Scheffler expresses his determination with an Instagram post

The 26-year-old Scheffler doesn’t regularly post on social media, but the calamity before the event has obligated him to raise fans’ hopes. A Tiger Woods no-show will certainly diminish the shine of the event. However, the Albany Golf Club will still feature a host of stars, among which Scheffler would be present.

To get fans cheering again, Scheffler posted a clip of him practicing his tees. But the motivating caption also caught the eye. “The real work isn’t televised. What you see on Sunday, is the result of everyday,” Scheffler captioned the post. He also added catchy hashtags such as #BuiltFortheGrind and #p700series.

A chance to shine for Scheffler?

For Scheffler, the tournament is a chance to redeem his place in the Overall World Golf Rankings (OWGR). He lost out his place recently to Rory McIlroy at the top of the golf rankings. The British golfer scaled the summit after winning the season-ending Tour Championship for his third FedEx Cup title.

In the process, he also dethroned Scheffler, who enjoyed a fantastic season in 2022. The American golfer won the 2022 Masters to claim his first green jacket in April, pipping McIlroy by three strokes. While the current season hasn’t been well so far, his recent post indicates a winning mindset is still in place.
