The last time Scottie Scheffler graced the greens was in August at the TOUR Championship, where he finished T6 with 11 under 279. Now, after a good hiatus of three months, the world number one will tee it up at the Albany Golf Course in the Bahamas.

Scheffler is one of the 20 players who are playing at Tiger Woods’ annual tournament, the Hero World Challenge. Though unofficial, the event is part of the PGA Tour, and the winner gets rewarded with Official World Ranking Points and a hefty check. Before Scheffler tries his swing at the event, let’s explore the equipment he carries to win an event.

Scottie Scheffler was a free agent for the majority of his career; however, that changed when he signed a multiyear deal with TaylorMade. The one-time major winner now has three TaylorMade clubs in his bag, while he still chooses to have a little variety with Titleist, Srixon, and Scotty Cameron for the rest.

The driver the 6x PGA Tour has in his bag is the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus with 8 degrees of loft and Fujikura Ventus Black 7X shaft. The Stealth Plus is promised to have more forgiveness as it has a high MOI and gives a low spin to the ball. Moreover, the 60X carbon face provides a lower twist and faster ball speed. The driver retails for $529.99.

For fairway woods, Scheffler uses the TaylorMade Stealth 2 3-Woods with 15 degrees of loft. The shaft he uses is the same as before, however, in the 8 X version. Selling for $399.99, the 3-woods are the epitome of stability and control. As per TaylorMade, it is made to give high forgiveness, neutral flight, and low spin, even better than its predecessor, the Stealth Plus.

Coming to the irons, the World No. 1 has a Srixon Z U85 Utility 3 and 4 iron that comes with a variety of lofts. His second iron is the TaylorMade P7TW (5-pitching wedge). The former goes for $199.99, while the latter goes for $250. The shaft for the Srixon is the Nippon N.S. Pro Modus 3 Hybrid Prototype 10 X, and his TaylorMade iron’s shaft is the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100.

Coming to the wedges, Scheffler has chosen to go with the Titleist Vokey Design SM8 (50-12F, 56-14F, and 60-A) and WedgeWork Proto (60-06K). The Vokey-made wedges promise better control and feel as they are equipped with progressive CG (center of gravity) and enhanced weight distribution, delivering the forgiveness a golfer needs.

On the greens, the PGA Tour pro uses the Titleist Scotty Cameron GSS prototype for making those birdie putts and winning the games. The putter goes for $3000+ and has the classic head shape, which provides better control and hence is the choice of many on the tour. For his golf ball, the 1x major champion has sided with Titleist once more, using their Pro V1 as his regular ball. He also uses a Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip for an extra firm hold.
