Fans always have their favorite athletes at the top, irrespective of how they have performed during the season. Something similar has happened between the two American professional golfers, Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele. Both pros have had a great 2024 season with record-setting stats. On one side, Schauffele won two majors, including the Open and the PGA Championship. He won it in the same year, a decade after Rory McIlroy’s 2014 win.

For the 2024 PGA Tour Player of the Year, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Xander Schauffele were nominated. However, fans and fellow professionals shared preferences by praising their favorites for the particular season. Following on to it, during a recent podcast at GOLF’s Subpar, Joel Dahmen was seen praising Scheffler for his spectacular year.
