So, the Los Angeles Golf Club (LAGC) has a TGL match coming up against Jupiter Links GC on January 14, 2025. But beyond the game itself, LAGC is making some exciting moves to shake up the world of golf. They’re part of a new league that wants to make golf more accessible to everyone. Golf has always been seen as a sport for a certain crowd, but LAGC wants to open it up to people from all walks of life. They’re inspired by LA’s rich golf history, but they also want to bring a modern twist to the game. And what’s really interesting is the team behind the club – the owners who are making this vision a reality.

So, who are the masterminds behind the Los Angeles Golf Club? It’s a pretty impressive lineup if you ask me. The club’s ownership group is made up of innovators and sports enthusiasts who are passionate about shaking up the world of golf. You’ve got Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit and founder of the capital venture Seven Seven Six, who’s bringing his entrepreneurial spirit to the table. And then there are the tennis superstars, Serena and Venus Williams, who are trading in their rackets for golf clubs. It’s exciting to see them bring their competitive energy to the golfing world!

But that’s not all, the ownership group also includes limited partners like the Antetokounmpo brothers, Alex Morgan, Servando Carrasco, and Michelle Wie West. It’s a dream team, really, with a mix of sports stars, entrepreneurs, and innovators who are all committed to pushing the boundaries of golf. As Neal Hubman, Club President, put it, the club is sending a signal to golf fans everywhere that Los Angeles is committed to shaping the future of golf.
