After the statement in 2013, Woods attended a press conference on the PGA Tour. One reporter asked him if he would call Sergio one day and ask him to finish this feud. Woods gave an icy and blunt reply. He said, “No.” Just one word and nothing else. This meant that Woods was not happy about the comment, and he did not forgive Sergio about it.

The comment by Sergio Garcia that irked Woods

In 2013, Sergio was asked about Woods during the European Tour’s gala players’ awards dinner. According to the Guardian, the interviewer asked him if he would have Woods for dinner during the upcoming US Open. They considered his reply as racist. Sergio said, “We will have him round every night. We will serve fried chicken.” Even though the comment was in jest, they did not accept it in a good way.

After Sergio’s comment, Tiger Woods went on Twitter and said that the statement was hurtful, disrespectful, and wrong. And this was the reason for Woods giving the cold shoulder to the question about Sergio.
