World No. 1 Nelly Korda, has had a busy couple of weeks. She competed at the Chevron Championship last month after sitting out the tournament in 2022, going on to achieve a 3rd-place finish. The 24-year-old followed it up with back-t0-back appearances at the JM Eagle L.A. Championship and the recently-concluded Founders Cup.

Given the hectic nature of her schedule, the LPGA star definitely deserves some time away from the greens to relax and recuperate. But Korda clearly wants to stay at the top of her game with a handful of LPGA events and a major approaching, as evident by her latest social media update!

Nelly Korda returns to train following Founders Cup appearance

Last month, Korda missed the chance to nab a second major title at the Chevron Championship, as she finished solo third on the leaderboard behind Lilia Vu and Angel Yin. Regardless, the LPGA star’s stellar performance paved the way for her return to the top of the world rankings.

She had a good outing at the JM Eagle LA Championship as well, where she tied for the 6th position on the leaderboard. But, the Olympic gold medallist ended up suffering a setback last week as she missed the cut at the Founders Cup in New Jersey’s Upper Montclair Country Club.

The young golfer, however, is not dispirited by the missed cut and wants to bounce back into form as soon as possible. She even took to Instagram to share a clip of her intensive training process on Thursday.

After an arduous couple of weeks of golf, the golfer has now jumped back into prepping for upcoming LPGA events. “2 weeks @ home to train. Let’s go!” wrote Korda in the caption accompanying the video.

The Tour has a series of events lined up before the year’s second major in late June, and Nelly Korda will definitely want to return to her winning ways. Her Instagram update has also wowed her fans, with some terming her an icon of the sport.

Despite being just 24 years of age, Korda has already claimed a great number of enviable achievements. In the hunt for more, the extremely hard-working LPGA Tour pro has even returned to train for upcoming LPGA Tour events after her Founders Cup outing. Consequently, fans couldn’t help but shower her with praise.

Many are also anticipating the return of the LPGA star. “We’ll see ya at Blythefield!” said one.

Next month, the Blythefield Country Club in Michigan, will host the Meijer LPGA Classic. “See you in Jersey City. Love that course, excited to see you play it,” wrote another, looking forward to watching Korda play at June’s Mizuho Americas Open.

The second LPGA major of the year, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, is also slated to kick off on June 22nd at the Baltrusol Lower Course in Springfield. Nelly Korda has already claimed the title once in 2021 and will definitely be vying to win her second one in the coming month.
