Steve Stricker’s family is the quintessential golfing family. He married into a family that already had two PGA Tour pros—his father-in-law and brother-in-law. His wife, Nicki Stricker, caddies for him and played in the US Women’s Senior Amateur in 2023, while their daughters are both golfers.

After his second round in the Ascension Charity Classic, the former World No.2 was asked whether his daughter and aspiring golf pro, Bobbi Stricker listens to him more on or off the course. He jested, “She listens unless I tell her to clean her room. She doesn’t clean her room worth damn,” much to the delight of the press.
He then added, “She listens for the most part. She’s like a sponge. She wants to learn a lot about the game and all the little idiosyncrasies of the game. So she’s very receptive to all that.”

Bobbi, 25, has been on the Epson Tour for three years. In 2023, she made four cuts but didn’t finish in the top 10. She missed out on LPGA status last year but is working hard to make it through Q-School again. In August, she played a round that secured her place in the qualifying round to continue on the Epson Tour. Steve Stricker was caddying for her and skipped the Ally Challenge that week.
As for Steve Stricker, he has played an active role in both his daughters’ golfing pursuits. His younger daughter, Izzie Stricker, plays college golf and partnered with him in the 2023 PNC Championship, while his wife caddied for Izzie and Bobbi caddied for Steve.

Steve Stricker’s so-so sequel to Brilliant 2023
Steve Stricker had a brilliant 2023. Sixteen events and six wins put him right at the top of the competition and won him the Charles Schwab Cup. He also won three of five senior series majors and broke the record for most consecutive par or better rounds in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event, previously held by Tiger Woods.
However, his 2024 season on the Champions Tour has not been nearly as good. In 10 events, he hasn’t won at all. He’s been runner-up once at the American Family Insurance Championship and made the top 10 nine times.
He currently occupies T44 at the Ascension Classic after two rounds, where he scored even par in both rounds.
