

The Liv Tour recently posted its first teaser for the Inaugural Liv Golf Tournament on its official Twitter account. The video shows a glimpse of what the fans can expect from the highly anticipated Tour.

Only recently created, it has already gathered nearly 11 thousand followers. They shared a teaser as their first post, which includes various captions on the screen, leaving fans high with high expectations from the Tour.
They captioned the video, “Shot Just Got Real.” The graphics in the video read, “This is Golf but Louder. Shotgun Starts, Fire Finishes, Unrelenting Action.”
The video then proceeded to tease fans with details of the Tour by providing information such as, “12 teams, infinite rivalries, whatever you do, don’t blink,” in order to hype them up.

The video has received a positive reception from fans, despite Liv Tour’s infamous reputation in the golf world. Many fans retweeted the post, expressing their excitement about the commencement of the tour.
What is Liv Golf’s Format?
With 48 participants, the Tour will have 8 tournaments with each having three rounds of 54-holes in total. As mentioned in the teaser, all events will feature shotgun starts (every player starts at the same time but at a different hole) and a team element.

Players will be divided into 12 four-person groups. It will be based on a draft held on the week of each tournament for a team event. Whereas for an individual event, the score will be recorded as usual by stroke play.

Who will be participating in the Liv Tour?
Big names like Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, Kevin Na, Louis Oosthuizen, Ian Poulter, and Lee Westwood will be taking part in the inaugural tournament.

Phil Mickelson revealed on Monday that he will also be joining the Saudi-backed Liv Tour as well. Notably, Dustin Johnson announced his resignation from the PGA Tour in order to join Liv Tour, but Mickelson has not yet announced any resignation yet.

Liv Golf Tour’s inaugural tournament will be held at The Centurion Club, outside of London from June 9th to 11th.
