LIV deals pale in comparison to this!

Reportedly the total football package for him is worth $1.1 billion, $332 million as transfer fees and  $776 million for one year. The possibility of his joining Read Madrid in 2024 is reportedly also part of the deal. If the deal finalizes then Mbappe will become the highest-paid footballer.

That is more than what LIV Golf offered to the biggest name on PGA Tour Tiger Woods which was reported to be a whopping $800 million which was his whole career worth but he declined. Nevertheless, this figure is far superior to what ohter LIV defectors got.

How much were LIV defectors paid?

The first big star to move to LIV Golf was Dustin Johnson who was offered $125 million. According to Forbes, till now he has earned more than $40 million in LIV prize money. Next is an active supporter of LIV Golf. Phil Mickelson received $200 million to join them, half of which he received up front. Another big player to join LIV is Brooks Koepka who was promised a $100 million deal. And his friend Bryson DeChambeau received $125 million half of which was delivered up front. Australia’s Cameron Smith was given $100 million.
