Adam Hadwin thanks his wife for performance enhancement

The 35-year-old golfer, ranked 71st in the world, has been stuck on a winless streak for years. His last (and only) win on the PGA TOUR came in 2017, when he won the year’s Valspar Championship.

While Hadwin has gone through multiple swing coaches and mentors, he hasn’t been able to put a stop to his dry run. However, it looks like his dear wife, Jessica, has a simple solution to negate his on-field troubles.

As Hadwin revealed in an interaction on the sidelines of the Rocket Mortgage Classic, it was the effect of slow play that was consuming the golfer. “[She said], ‘You look uncomfortable out there; you look like you’re deciding too much, taking too long,’” Hadwin said of his wife’s assessment. “[She added], ‘It’s not just me. The fans in the crowd at LACC, apparently, were calling me out for it too.’”

It seems like those words of advice from his wife really helped the PGA Tour star. A resurgent Hadwin made heads turn with a series of incredible performances, including a round of 63 on Saturday. The Canadian sits second on the leaderboard ahead of Sunday’s final round.

And when Jessica shared the interview on Twitter and rightfully claimed to be doing her bit for “the battle against slow play in golf,” the fans couldn’t help but cheer. Here are some of the things they had to say:

Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time fans have sung praises for Hadwin’s wife. The witty lady has become a sensation on social media due to her quirky takes and sense of humor in belittling her poor husband!

Adam Hadwin’s wife absolutely roasts her husband with a hilarious tweet

Despite living under the same roof, the adorable couple constantly has a go at each other on their day-to-day tasks. One such incident occurred when the golfer posted his wife’s kitchen talents on social media, which drew a sharp yet funny reply.

Furthermore, she grabbed the limelight again after the golfer bounced his ceremonial first pitch at the Rogers Centre, home of the Toronto Blue Jays. While not overly critical this time, Mrs. Hadwin took it as an opportunity to make the most of their regular mockeries.

Ever stronger since his wife’s advice, can Adam Hadwin win his second PGA TOUR title on Sunday? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
