At the Masters this year, Tiger was paired up with Jon Rahm in the final round. At the 7th hole, the duo was put on the clock, and Tiger “was somehow trying to speed up,” he said in a recent interview. The rest of the players looked at the officials, unimpressed. “He was already doing an amazing job trying to move up and down those hills,” said Rahm.

Jon, who was inspired by Tiger’s determination, said that walking the Augusta course was also one of the hardest walks in golf. He added that he and the other players saw the reality that the cameras didn’t, of how much of a toll it took on the legend. “He puts on a bit of a show for the camera, like he’s not going to show how much he’s really hurting,” said Rahm. “It’s really inspiring,” he added, seeing Tiger’s struggles and watching him “move around that room when there’s nobody watching.”

The legend often mentions that he pushes himself to the limit, and that certainly catches up to him. He is suffering from “policeman’s heel” at the moment, which makes walking unbearable and hence playing on the course impossible.
