Golfers showcased immense respect for Tiger Woods
Sam Burns and Matthew Fitzpatrick joined the 2022 Masters Winner, Scottie Scheffler, in the video. They all expressed their feelings about the 15 times major championship hosting the event. The pro golfers feel it is an honor to play at the event, and winning it will be a significant achievement. The former number-one golfer, Scheffler, explained how important Tiger Woods is.

He feels it’s really “cool” that Woods was hosting the event. He said, “Tiger’s pretty special to the game of golf, and he’s pretty special to all of us on tour. And so to be able to win will be a pretty special memory that none of us would ever forget.” The Valspar Championship winner, Burns, followed it. He explained how huge it was for him and said, “I think just what Tiger has done in the game of golf and still doing. He’s one of my role models growing up. So now to be able to play in some of his events and have a chance to win those is definitely a great opportunity.”

The English professional golfer, Fitzpatrick, explained what would be the most memorable moment for him. He said, “Having the trophy pick alongside him at the end of the week is extra special.” However, there is another golfer who felt special after he received a minority exemption for the event. Last month, Woods announced that Marcus Byrd would receive an exemption for the event.
