Alabama Crimson Tide lost the annual Third Saturday in October against Tennessee Volunteers at Neyland Stadium. It was the first time the latter won the event since 2006. While the event led the Tennessee fans to celebrate, the Alabamians were devastated after the football game. And the professional golfer, a University of Alabama graduate, Justin Thomas, was feeling no better.

Notably, Alabama lost to Tennessee by a 49-52 score. However, many implied that there was a fault in officiating the match. The officials ruled that Alabama interfered with Tennessee tight end Princeton Fant on the play near the goal line, which ended up the latter tying the game at 49. Although many criticized officials for ruling in favor of the Volunteers, Thomas didn’t have the same opinion.

“I’ve had lots of thinking about the Bama game… frustration towards a poorly officiated game means nothing when you have 17 penalties and give up 52 points.” The 29-year-old golfer showed his emotion through a Twitter post. “Would it have helped?” his tweet further read. “Yes, but as a whole, you can’t be too mad while playing undisciplined. We’re spoiled as Bama fans!!!”

Through his tweet, Thomas expressed his frustration with Alabama’s result. In fact, he was more furious about his favorite team giving 17 penalties and 52 points to their opponents than the ruling of the officials.

As a true fan of the team, the golfer has never failed to watch the NCAA Division I FBS games. In fact, he has always tried to express his feelings throughout the matches through his instant Twitter posts. He even had a huge meltdown during the 2019 National Championship match between Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers.

Thomas played his last PGA Tour golf tournament at the Tour Championship, the last event of the 2021-2022 season, where he secured a T5 place. Notably, he also took part in the 2022 Presidents Cup, representing Team America. Although the golfer lost the individual event to Team International’s Si Woo Kim, he managed to bag all the doubles events that he played with Jordan Spieth, thus leading his Team to victory.
