What is the Hero World Challenge?

The Hero World Challenge is a golf tournament hosted by Tiger Woods every year. The event features 20 of the top-ranked golf pros taking part in a benefit for the Tiger Woods Foundation. The event is usually held in December and is set to begin on 28th November and end on the 4th of December. The Hero World Challenge is an unofficial event, meaning that it is part of the PGA Tour but does not offer any money or FedEx Cup points.

Woods announced seventeen of the players who will be participating early in October with three tournament exemptions. In his tweet, he announced that along with him, Kevin Kisner and Tommy Fleetwood would be filling those spots. The official seventeen players include the likes of Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Jordan Spieth, and defending champion, Viktor Hovland.
