Golf can sometimes be a frustrating game for professionals competing at the highest level. The ball lips out from the hole, or sometimes it is just an inch short from going in, and thus makes the sport even harder. One such moment occurred at the 2022 Betfred British Masters.

Rasmus Hojgaard is among the rising stars on the DP World Tour and is making his presence felt with his beautiful ball striking and long hitting. Rasmus was part of the field of the 2022 Betfred Brtish Masters at the Belfry. But the Danish professional had an unlucky moment during his final round at the event.

Rasmus found himself out of the contention after making a double bogey on the 12th hole. However, he was in despair on the par 4 16th hole when his ball went into the hole but came out and ended outside the green—as a result, leaving the young professional in agony.

The video regarding his unlucky golf shot broke out on the internet and went viral. It is probably one of the unluckiest golf shots in 2022. Fans from all parts of the globe can easily relate to what Rasmus must be feeling after witnessing the unfortunate shot on the 16th hole.

Hojgaard hit a blistering drive down the fairway on the 16th hole at the Belfry. As a result, he had to hit a wedge and stick the ball close to the hole. The 21-year-old hit a beautiful approach shot from 120- yards, and the ball went like a laser and went into the hole. However, the ball instantly bounced out and went into the rough outside the green.

The young star was in agony, and his reaction summed up his day. Rasmus stood there looking at his caddie with his hands behind the back. But the Danish got some respite on the next hole and made an eagle on the par, 5 17th hole. In the end, he finished the event with an overall score of five-under-par in tied 16th position.
