Tiger Woods’ thoughts on the players who signed with the other side
Early in July, Woods opened up about his opinions of the players who had defected to LIV Golf in a press conference. Tiger was very critical. He said he didn’t fully understand how they could do that. He said, “I think that what they’ve done is they’ve turned their back on what has allowed them to get to this position.”

Pat Perez claps back at Tiger
In a recent interview, Pat Perez lashed out about Tiger’s comments. He furiously said, “That’s the stupidest s**t I have ever heard of in my life.” He found Tiger’s words extremely hypocritical. “Last time I checked, he signed a $40 million deal right out of college, was flying on the Nike jet,” said the three-time PGA Tour winner about Tiger’s contract with Nike before turning pro. “He found incentive. He could have shut it down right then.”

Perez explained that the incentive the LIV Golf players had was the fact that they could earn more money than the PGA could offer by doing the same work. He stated, “The incentive, the fact that you can go from like 22nd place or 18th place, have a great Sunday, go from making 220 grand to four million, you cannot do that anywhere.” Perez spoke about how many golfers spend lots of time working very hard, and LIV golf rewards those efforts.
