‘Such a Joke’: Americans and PGA Tour Fans React to Embarrassing LIV Golf Revelation

LIV Golf has been surprising the golf world ever since it came into existence. Greg Norman has been luring out the best players from the PGA Tour to join his league. And his money-let strategy has proven to be successful since some of the biggest names from the former tour joined his league. However, fans have not been very supportive of the new Saudi circuit. And after the recent revelation, golf fans have shown their true feelings about the new tour.

LIV league comes in with some bad news

Fans have been against the new Saudi-backed league ever since it became a competition for the PGA Tour. However, the new league is not going anywhere since it now has some of the best players in the world on board. But after the recent tweet by Dan Rapaport, fans have come together once again to speak up against LIV Golf.

Dan Rapaport shared a screenshot of LIV Golf’s Bangkok Invitational live premier. And to everyone’s surprise, only about 17,000 people were watching it during the last hole despite LIV Golf having 227,000 subscribers. And fans gave all kinds of reactions to the tweet.

Fans react to recent LIV Golf news

Some fans continued to make fun of the entire league and said that LIV Golf was a “joke”.

And others expressed their views about how bad it was to see just 17,000 people watching the game worldwide. Some also pointed out how the field has no live spectators.

Dan Rapaport hit “dislike” before taking the screenshot and called it an accident. And some fans appreciated his move.

No matter how much fans hate the new league, Greg Norman has no plans of quitting on growing it. And after getting support from so many big players, LIV Golf might be a successful tour soon. Although some professional golfers suggested the two tours should work together, the chances of a merger at this point are slim.

The PGA Tour is already putting in efforts to match the new formats brought in by the Saudi league. and fans are clearly watching the former league struggling to survive. However, none of them is ready to give up and are equally working on making the game better.
