We have witnessed father and son chemistry in the PNC Championship of 2021 and 2022. They both are very similar to each other. Even though they could not win, their on-field chemistry was the event’s highlight. Woods loves his kids so much that he spent all his recovery time after the 2021 accident with them. Was Tiger Woods an overwhelmed father?

February 8, 2009, was another precious day in Tiger Woods’ life after his daughter was born in 2007. The former number-one golfer was supposed to hoist the trophy at Torrey Pines, but instead, he was busy with the birth of his son. He took his website and announced that his then-wife, Elin, gave birth to a boy, and they named him Charlie Axel Woods. Sam Alexis, his first daughter, was born in June 2007, the day after the U.S. Open.

Delivering the joyful news in the statement, he wrote, “Elin and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our son, Charlie Axel Woods, who was born on Sunday, February 8, 2009.” He also revealed the condition of the mother and the baby, which was medically acceptable. And the pro golfer expressed his gratitude for all the good wishes and support. He said, “Both Charlie and Elin are doing great, and we want to thank everyone for their sincere best wishes and kind thoughts. Sam is very excited to be a big sister, and we feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful family.”

The big-hearted happy father was also grateful to all the doctors caring for his wife and baby. Woods could not be more thankful to the hospital staff for providing personal and professional care to his family. Later he mentioned that the Woods family would introduce their newborn son to the world only when the time was right. He said, “We look forward to introducing Charlie to you at the appropriate time, and again thanks from all of us for your kindness and support.”

The heart-touching chemistry of father and son

Woods loves his son with all his heart, and he trains him to be better at golf. In the 2021 PNC Championship, the duo carded 11 consecutive birdies and finished second after John Daly and his son. They did not win but became the favorite father-son duo of golf fans.

During last year’s junior golf, Woods was caddying for his son, and Charlie’s performance there was remarkable. It was evident that he was under the proper guidance. Despite his injury, Woods did not want to lose the opportunity of pairing up with his son. And therefore, he played the event in pain.
