The Presidents Cup has largely been a one-sided story. Ever since its inception in 1994, when Team USA won, the International team has only secured one victory in the fourteen editions. Their sole win was in Melbourne back in 1998 at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club. Peter Thomson was the captain, and they achieved a 20 1/2 – 11 1/2 victory over the Jack Nicklaus squad.

The International team came very close to clinching another victory in 2003 when both teams tied at 17-17. It is already a given that Team USA has a huge advantage over the International team. The entire team was confirmed by Captain Jim Furyk on September 3. Sam Burns, Tony Finau, Russell Henley, Keegan Bradley, Brian Harman, and Max Homa will be joining World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schuaffele, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay and Sahith Theegala.

According to the page, “The two teams are well balanced in age, but not so much on rankings” at Montreal. Having won 13 times, Team USA boasts an average ranking of a whopping 12, with a record of 12-1-1. On the other hand, the International team has an average ranking of 35. Although they are all set to break their 26-year drought, the predictions heavily favor the US team.
