However, Team Europe is trying to catch up to its opponents. Yet there is one front on which Europe bluntly falls and has received much criticism. Fortunately, it is not the game but rather their fashion choice that received harsh criticism from the fans.

The Team USA has practiced well for the prestigious Cup and it is being reflected in their game. The first foursome had the pairing of Lexi Thompson and Megan Khang, and both Americans are delivering unbelievable shots and impressive strokes.

Just like the match, the US has also gained an upper hand over Europe in the fashion game. Before the competition began, the opening ceremony was held in the morning where Europe’s disastrous display of fashion earned much criticism from the fans.

On the other hand, the team US is gaining the attention of fans with their snazzy sneakers on the ground. The American players are wearing red, blue, and white kings which represent the colors on their nation’s flag and fans are making inquiries with Nike on where can they find similar shoes.

In fact, their golf club bags are pretty attractive too. It looks like America is going strong over Europe on all fronts and this time they are aiming for more than the trophy. Their sleek and stylish look bears proof.

Europe’s disappointing fashion sense at the Solheim opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of the event took place at Marbella Arena in the morning. While all the American players were donning black dresses, the Europeans were wearing yellow robes, the looks of which were rather disappointing. 

The ceremony included inspiring speeches from both the captains which left the teams motivated. But Europe’s yellow robes quickly became a laughing stock on social media as fans called them ‘horrendous‘ and ‘yellow banana robes’.

However, the day is not finished yet and Europe is fighting hard to carry on its winning streak from the last event.
