When the former world no. 1 players of golf and tennis, Greg Norman and Chris Evert, got married, the sports world was happy. The fans were happy to see another power couple and how they will support each other in the future. However, all such dreams were shattered when the couple separated and got divorced within 15 months of their wedding.

“Was there passion? Yes,” Evert explained how her marriage with Norman didn’t even last at least two years. “Was there love? Sure,” she further told Elle in a 2011 interview. “But we had two big worlds.”

Norman and Evert married soon after their divorce proceedings with their respective partners of many years got settled. However, the differences in their priorities led the 2-time major champion and the International Tennis Hall of Famer to get a divorce after less than 2 years of marriage.

“I don’t want this to be a slam on Greg, but our lifestyles were different,” she said further in the interview with the international magazine. “My priority was my kids. His priority was to build his business and travel.”

Nicknamed The Ice Maiden, Evert was married to the former Olympic skier and a friend of Norman, Andy Mills, for 18 years before they separated in 2006. The couple had three children together, Alex, Nicky, and Colton, whose custody was granted to Evert by the court.

Notably, Norman, who was married to Laura Andrassy for 25 years before divorcing her in 2007, also had two children. However, unlike Evert’s, his children were grown-ups. Hence, he allegedly was more fond of taking care of his business dealings than his children.

Did Greg Norman or Chris Evert ever remarry?

Norman’s divorce from his first wife, Laura Andrassy, was tough for him. After all, she walked off with $103 million from her millionaire husband as part of divorce settlements. However, the 2-time major champion and Chris Evert got divorced without getting anyone’s attention.
