The Golf world has progressed greatly in recent years. Now there are more options available than just playing the game on the greens. Yes, we are talking about Tiger Woods‘ tech-infused TGL league which was founded on August 24, 2022. Ever since the idea of the new technology-driven league has come into being, there has been a non-stop buzz about it on the internet.

Now here comes another important news in relation to the TGL. Almost six months before the kick-off, the league appears to have lent its support to a new venture by Mark Zuckerberg. It’s indeed a big development. Let’s find out more.

As fans must be aware that the TGL League received massive support from Serena Williams, Venus Williams and Alexis Ohanian right from the outset. They joined hands with the Los Angeles Golf Club — one of the six teams in the TGL, without much ado. The league has the support of many stars from other sports as well as current professional golfers.

Now, there is a new development regarding this league. Well, they have recently landed on a very new portal which is Elon Musk’s rival platform. This new application is none other than Mark Zuckerberg’s Threads, the text-sharing platform. And they have shared their joy through their Threads handle: “TGL tees off in only six months! In the meantime we’ll be having some fun with Threads. 🧵”

Well, having a net worth of $247 billion, Elon Musk has significant control over Twitter ($44 Billion), even after stepping down from his CEO post. Hence there is a strong possibility that TGL’s move to join the new portal might be interpreted as going up against Elon Musk and Twitter. Nevertheless, the league is already preparing itself to kick off in January 2024.

A quick look at the TGL League

TGL League (Tiger Wood’s baby) is a brand-new golf league that TMRW Sports have developed. Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Mike McCarley (a sports executive), and the PGA Tour have come together to create this project. The indoor series will be conducted on Monday nights which will coincide with the PGA Tour schedule.

Moreover, six teams of three PGA Tour players each will participate in the league. They will be playing 18 holes of match-play against one another on a virtual course which will bring in an all-new experience for golf lovers.
