Despite earning big, Scheffler was seen wearing old loafers during the green jacket ceremony at Augusta. The fans were shocked but also praised him for his humility. In fact, he still drives his old car from college. And now his name is officially in the most earnings on the PGA Tour, it will be interesting to see what fans think about him and this overall revelation.
Some fans compared Rahm and Scheffler with other golfers, whereas some prompted to thank the senior golfers.

He hasn’t changed, Brock.
— Bryan Tweed (@BryanTweed16) April 12, 2023
However, some fans presented a few facts and also raised some valid questions:
Doesn’t the tour championship winner take 15M just from that competition (season winner prize)

I thought that Rory was the money leader last year due to winning the tour championship?

Crazy how they’d all make 10X this playing for Liv and it would all be guaranteed…
— Nick Oddo (@NickOddo3) April 12, 2023
Are we not including FedEx cup? Rory pulled a cool $18M last year on that alone.

It’s not apples to apples, since Purses have doubled or tripled in most cases since PGA found all this money after a bunch of guys went to LIV, cause they knew they were hoarding money.

It is not a surprise that there was a discussion about the PGA Tour, and the LIV Golf League was mentioned. Many fans thought these pros should be thankful to a defector like Phil Mickelson. It is no news that many believe the increased purse on the American Tour was only because of LIV Golf. Not once, but it has been prompted multiple times that entry of the Saudi-backed circuit brought benefits for every golfer in some or the other way. Recently a PGA Tour pro, Dylan Wu, thanked the defecto,r Phil Mickelson for his contribution and his great performance at the Masters.
How will Jon Rahm keep printing money?
The Spaniard recently won $3.24M at the Masters, and it’s only the beginning. A famous podcaster, John Middlekauff, compared Rahm with Tom Brady and said, “Tom Brady, who will never make as much money as Deshaun Watson as a player, he won’t. But do you know what Tom Brady will have till the day he’s died? He will keep printing money.” In the same way, it is only one step of the journey for Rahm, and he will keep earning big bucks like Brady.
