It goes without saying that the golfers are super excited for the Ryder Cup. For those players who are playing in the event for the first time, keeping their excitement contained is the hardest task. While many are busy practicing and sweating it out on the golf course others are opting for other ways to channel their energy.

Fans unhappy with Sam Burns’s new look

This is Sam Burns’s first time at the Ryder Cup. Team captain Zach Johnson named him, as one of his picks. The 27-year-old won the 2023 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play in March, which definitely added credit to his selection. It is evident that Burns is super excited to play.

As a way to show his excitement and preparation for the competition, Burns debuted a new look and got a mullet for his appearance in Rome. To top it off and show his patriotism, the golfer has ‘USA’ trimmed on the right side of his head. Burns is not the only player to do this. Other than him, Brooks Koepka has also debuted a mullet which he sported at the LIV Chicago event at Rich Harvest Farms on Friday. Looks like Team America has made this decision together. The PGA Tour shared the Burns’s new look on Twitter.

However, the social media reaction to the haircut, showed that fans do not agree with the decision and are bashing Burns for it.
