She said, “I feel for Naomi, I don’t think anyone should have to be verbally abused when they are doing work. Can you imagine being at your desk and typing and someone is shouting in your ear that you suck? No, no one would want to do that.”
However, on the other hand, Spiranac spoke about how she could have handled it in a better way and gave an example of Serena Williams. Spiranac said, “It’s just a part of it. And if you’re playing for millions and millions of dollars, a troll comment here or there shouldn’t affect you to the point that it did Naomi.”

She added, ” And that’s what Serena has done a lot in her career. And I think that’s why she truly is the GOAT because she’s not really fazed by what people say or what people scream at her even when it happened years ago, when she was at the same event, and it happened. She didn’t react to it in the moment.”
“She’s like, you know what, I’m not coming back here. And that’s that, and I almost wish that Naomi handled it in a way where she just came off a little bit more, I guess poised.”
