2021 completely revolved around Tom Holland due to his greatly awaited blockbuster ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’ The legendary English actor has not done many roles in the film industry, but all his projects have been superhits. And he received unfathomable fame after his role in the Avengers series as Spider-Man. However, despite being the talk of the town, Holland was once stunned after meeting golf professional, Ian Poulter.
During his episode on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’, Holland was talking about his upcoming movie. However, it didn’t take much time for the British Academy Film Award winner to turn things towards golf. Meyers brought up Holland’s well-renowned obsession with golf, which is also well-documented by various sources. The two talked about how much Holland loved golf. But things got even more interesting when the subject was eventually the 2021 Masters.
It turned out that being a Hollywood star himself, Holland is more fascinated after meeting his favorite athletes. “I meet actors all the time, so it’s something that I’m not that impressed by,” Holland said. “But if I meet athletes, mate, it blows me away,”. He mentioned an incident from the same day when he met English professional golfer, Ian Poulter.
“We’re on the 10th tee watching Tony Finau tee off, and Ian Poulter just rocks up, gin and tonic in hand,” he claimed. “…honestly it was the highlight of my year”. Although he handed a glass to the movie star, Holland confirmed that Poulter was a couple down himself. It was evident that Holland was simply one of the few thousand VIPs on the ground that day. However, his epic story about his interaction with Poulter gave fans a glimpse of how golfers like to celebrate!
