The launch of the technology-driven TGL Golf League looks a little far-fetched at the moment, especially after the tragedy hit the venue’s roof. With such a huge roadblock on the way, one might think that Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy would have given up on their dream project. But as it turns out, the duo’s dream remains intact.

However, Woods’ ally, a PGA Tour pro, shed some light on the league’s expansion and growth plans. The 7XPGA Tour winner knows a few things about TGL’s backroom working and shared an update.

From the outside, the falling of the roof might look like a technical malfunction, but Horschel called it an “act of god.” The golfer shared that the venue’s roof was inflatable and had temporary power to hold the roof in case of an outage. He said that there was a lot of rain that night, and it led to the tearing down of the structures that were holding the dome.
