Dustin Johnson parts ways with Adidas, teams up with a new sponsor

38-year-old Johnson was among the first big names to jump ship from the PGA Tour to LIV golf. Owing to his defection, the 2020 Masters champion drew backlash from fans and critics alike. After his move to the Saudi-backed breakaway series, he also parted ways with his $20,000,000 worth sponsor, Adidas.

“We’ve mutually agreed to part ways with long-time Adidas athlete, Dustin Johnson. For more than 15 years, Dustin has been a great ambassador for the Adidas brand,” shared Lienhart in an interview with ESPN. “We wish Dustin nothing but success moving forward.”
