Michelle Wie West, a 33-year-old ex-LPGA Tour player, rose to fame as a golf prodigy in her youth. She started playing golf at the age of 10, and went on to become the youngest golfer to qualify for the USGA Tour. Eventually, she won her sole major championship title at the 2014 US Women’s Open. In the recent episode of the official podcast of The Masters 2023, West was seen reflecting on her sandwich choices.

In 2022, West shocked everyone with her decision of taking an early retirement. She revealed that she had been facing some health issues which would not let her play at her best potential and hence she chose retirement.

Fore Please, Now Driving is the official podcast of the 87th Masters Tournament and the recent guest on it was none other than the beautiful Michelle Wie West. West is attending Masters for the first time, this year. 

The host asked her about which sandwich she liked the best, and she laughingly spoke, “I tried all of them; unpopular opinion; Hated the pimento cheese.” 

The host then continued to ask her which sandwich did she like after all, and she quickly replied, “Egg salad.” She then clarified why she likes egg salad sandwich the best. “ I love egg salad in general. And I loved how simple it was, you know, you can get really fancy with egg salad and do a lot of stuff with it. But it was so simple. So good. The bread was soft egg salad was you know, creamy, but not too creamy. was great.”  

Well, don’t we all agree with West? An egg salad sandwich is indeed more versatile! 

Michelle Wie West has a blast trying famous sandwiches at Augusta

The 2023 Masters marked West’s first presence at Augusta. She indeed is having the time of her life there. Michelle took to her Instagram and shared a video of herself trying the famous sandwiches at the prestigious course. She tried pimento cheese, egg salad, barbecue, and a peach ice cream sandwich, and finally washed down the sandwiches with wine. 

Her favorite out of the 4 was definitely the peach ice cream sandwich as she gave it 11/10. While devouring the peach ice cream sandwich, she jokingly said, “I want like 10 of these. I will be back!”
