Jason Day showers Woods with compliments

On Sunday, Jason Day may not have gotten the chance to see Woods play during his practice session, but the golfer definitely heard the powerful sound of Woods’ swings. Day hit balls alongside Woods, who is preparing to compete at the upcoming edition of the Masters. “It’s still got that Tiger sound; it’s a different noise,” Day told Golf Digest.

“Tiger is one of only a few players on tour who have their own sound, and it’s still got that power in it,” revealed Day. “It wouldn’t surprise me if Tiger was in the top 20 or 30 players on the PGA Tour for clubhead and ball speed.

Fans were excited to receive an update from PGA Tour veteran Notah Begay III regarding Woods’ health. “I think you’re going to see a nice measured preparation next week when he does arrive on the grounds,” said the golf pro.

Woods had a good outing during a made cut at the Genesis Invitational in February. Begay revealed that the golf legend understood his limits better after competing at Riviera Country Club.
