The seventh green at Augusta was already drenched when Koepka arrived to play. The golf club decided to suspend play as the weather grew more ominous by the minute. Before the horn sounded, Koepka hit a shot that he was fairly satisfied with. “I thought I hit a good bunker shot, it looked like it just skidded on the water. I’m glad we stopped,” the golfer opined on Saturday.

While most players rushed to the shelter to escape the miserable weather, the four-time major champion was not one of them. He and his caddie Ricky Elliot stopped and mulled over the 11ft putt in the middle of the heavy downpour instead. Next, they walked around the putt and scrutinized it from behind the ball.
