It has happened to the best of golfers. Sometimes, as golfers address the ball with their driver, they tend to knock it off the tee accidentally. Most of the time, this embarrassing mistake will be met with the same-old response. The new Bridgestone ad capitalizes on the tired “That’s One!” response to the accidental tap-off.

The ad shows Woods accidentally bumping the ball off the tee and his playing partners wondering whether they should crack the “That’s one!” joke. As the onlookers fuss over their response, the 47-year-old Woods breaks the tension by saying, “That’s one, right?” The group takes a collective sigh of relief, each confessing that they were about to crack the same joke.

The relief is short-lived as Woods interjects, saying, “Actually, according to Rule 6.1a, says that’s not.” Embarrassed, the group begins to agree with him. The next shot focuses on Woods’ ball on the tee, which the golfer bumps off the tee a second time. You can then hear him hilariously saying, “That’s two!

The hilarious ad is the first in a new series called “Playing a round with Bridgestone Golf.” This series will feature Bridgestone golfers like Woods, Jason Day, Lexi Thompson, Fred Couples, and Matt Kuchar alongside content creators St. Andre Golf.

Recently, PGA Tour veteran Notah Begay III gave fans a satisfying update about Woods’ form. “I think you’re going to see a nice measured preparation next week when he does arrive on the grounds,” shared Begay III.
